What Does God Say About you?

There is some confusion among young ladies. What? How can one come to that bold conclusive statement when many young ladies seem to have it all together?
It certainly appears that most women know who they are and what they wish to achieve in life.
— Of course it is great to have aspirations and goals, and we surely should know who we are. But for whom and what are these aspirations?: is the goal to fit society’s definition of a successful woman, to gain “Facebook fans”, to impress people that you don’t even like… All of those reasons are in vain and have no beneficial payoff. We should be looking to Christ to see what He would have us do with our lives because we were created to glorify Him. Here are a few things that we are called to do:
“Go therefore and make disciples of ask the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I (Jesus) have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen” Matthew 28:19-20…
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said to him, `You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind`. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: `You shall love your neighbor as yourself.` On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:26-40…
That’s just a couple of verses and there are many more. These are directly from the mouth of Jesus Christ telling us what a Christian’s goal in life should be: »to tell people about Jesus (with words and with our lifestyle), »to love God above everything else and »to love our neighbor how we love ourselves. That should be the ultimate life aspiration of a young lady who truly loves God. It cannot be done in our own strength; we must pray and allow God’s Holy Spirit to enable us to do those things.–On to the second point: Yes, it may appear that some women know who they are but where did they get their information? Is your confidence in yourself coming from friends complimenting your style, a boyfriend telling you how gorgeous you are… Is your confidence coming from comparing yourself to a friend who you deem as less attractive than yourself? Is your view of who you are based on what your parents said about you? Are you defining yourself according to society’s definitions? All of those things are in vain. God created us, so we should definitely go to Him about who we are.
Of course the people around us will encourage us and tell us what they see in us; but in the end the only thing that matters is who God says we are and what He says about us. Don’t allow yourself to be discouraged by the negative things that others say about you. What does God, our Creator, say about us?::
“In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.” 1John 4:9…
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10…
“The Lord your God in your must, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17…
How amazing! Look at this! »We are loved by God so much that He sent His only Son to die a death that we deserved for our sin against God. Jesus took our punishment so that we can live. »We are God’s workmanship. His poem, His artwork… »We are created by God. The same God who created the sky, the colorful sunset, each unique insect& animal, created us. Wow!! 🙂 »And look at the last verse: God rejoices over us with singing. People normally sing when they are happy. Singing is an expression of a deep joy within. God doesn’t need us but He wants us. We bring Him joy. 🙂
Young lady, those are just a few things that God says about who you are and what your aspirations in life should be. The Bible has no error and it is God’s love letter to those who will accept Him as Lord and Savior. I encourage you to walk in the truth of what God says rather than what others say.
